The lymphatic system is a network of vessels and nodes throughout the body that transports fluid (lymph) from the body tissues back to the bloodstream. The functions of the lymphatic system are to maintain the volume and protein concentration of the extracellular fluid in the body and to assist the immune system in destroying pathogens and removing waste products from the tissues.
Rosemary is a member of the ‘Australasian Lymphology Association’ (ALA) and is listed on the ‘National Lymphoedema Practitioners Register’ (NLPR) as a recommended treatment provider. There are many causes of headaches with many people suffering from one or two causes. Some of the most common causes include migraine, cervicogenic (neck) and tension-type headaches. Frequent cause of migraine or headache include whiplash, poor posture, joint or muscular dysfunction within the neck as well as stress and muscle tension. We quite often find that small issues with the neck can significantly influence your headache experiences, regardless as to whether or not your neck is sore. In clinic your physiotherapist will discuss with you the nature of your symptoms as well as physically assess your neck and postural muscles to ascertain the possible underlying causes for your pain. If appropriate, the following modalities may be used in treatment:
Low back pain is one of the most common injuries that we see in clinic. Most causes of low back pain stems from a musculoskeletal origin and may include muscle strain, postural imbalances, disc injury, joint and nerve irritation. Your physiotherapist will discuss with you your symptoms and physically assess your joints, muscles, posture and movement to ascertain the cause of your pain. The majority of conditions can be managed and treated in clinic. In acute cases you can rest assured that your physiotherapist will do a thorough assessment and refer you for further investigations if required. Your physiotherapist can also refer you for x-ray or MRI if your assessment recommends it. If appropriate, the following modalities may be used in treatment:

Appointments can be made by phoning Feelfit during opening hours. A referral is not required unless for Workcover or DVA conditions.
